The Magnet Freehouse
We offer a superb and varied selection of 13 cask ales sourced from micro-breweries far and wide, and there is always a real farmhouse cider on hand pull too. As well as the excellent cask ales, we also have regular, ever-changing keg craft beers as well as quality German lagers and English cider.

We have an extensive and regularly updated range of bottled beers from Belgium, Germany and the USA, and some English ciders. These range from well known quality brands to obscure craft breweries producing fantastic ales, and there are some real gems to be found through working your way through our fridges!

Head over to our Beers section to get an idea of the range of bottled beers that you can expect to find when you visit.

The Magnet is a large, friendly multi-roomed pub with ample seating space and a warm and cosy atmosphere. There is also an extensive beer garden to the rear, including an elevated terrace which catches the sunshine well into those warm summer evenings, while the outdoor heated area provides comfort in times of more typical Manchester weather!

The Magnet is perfect for a quiet drink with a paper or a few drinks with friends – we have no TVs, no karaoke and no gimmicks – just excellent quality, ever changing cask and keg craft ales from micro-breweries far and wide.

We do not serve hot food, however we do offer locally-made pork pies and great range of crisps and snacks, including some tremendously good pork scratchings.

We have a games room with pool table and 2 dart boards and a well stocked jukebox and a function room is also available.

The team at The Magnet, made up of Lesley, Lee, Sarah, Roy, Rhys, Gareth, Kate, Laura, Charlotte, Karen, Jodie, Joshua, Jordan and Sophie who all work tirelessly to maintain the high standards we’ve aimed for from the outset.
